Forsha Danford, 71, went to be with his Lord and Savior this March 4th, 2019. He was born March 13th, 1947, in Garden City, the son of Fred L. & Ruth E. (Brack) Danford. He died at OSU hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Forsha grew up in Garden City where he attended GCHS and GCCC. He enlisted into the army after high school and was a veteran of the Vietnam War, where he was a machine gunner in the infantry.
When he returned home, he worked as a carpenter and an over the road truck driver. He married the love of his life, Joyce Triplett, truly his Earth angel. They shared 46 years together.
In 1980, a hang gliding accident left him a quadriplegic. This did not dampen his spirits. He lived his life for Christ Jesus and was not afraid to show you how to turn your life around. He was known by many and did not know a stranger. He ministered to many, even to those on death row at the prison in McAlester, Oklahoma.
Survivors are his wife, Joyce, of Branson, Missouri, a son Dustin of Eufala, Oklahoma, a daughter Tiffany, two sisters, Marilyn Ekart of Fayetteville, Arkansas and Tonya Bond and husband Larry of Garden City. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Cremation has taken place per Forsha's wishes and there will be no service.
