Pauline E. Hahn, 90, died Monday, Dec. 31, 2018, at Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice in Wichita.

She was born Sept. 11, 1928, in Willowdale to Catherine and Nicholas (Becker) Bayer.

She attended school in Willowdale and Zenda.

On April 28, 1948, she married Victor N. Hahn in Willowdale. He died on Dec. 28, 1999.

She worked at St. Catherine Hospital in Garden City from 1979 until she retired in the mid 1990s. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church of Garden City, the Daughters of Isabella, the VFW Auxiliary, Eagles Lodge Auxiliary, and AARP. She enjoyed gardening, dancing, playing cards, crocheting, word search puzzles, and was an avid Kansas City Royals fan and spending time with her family.

Survivors include eight children Bernard (Gwen) Hahn of Lyndon, Darlene (Dave) Shaver of Emporia, Dennis (Sharolyn) Hahn of Salina, Okla., Jane (Lloyd) Lightner of Pierceville, Ernest (Donna) Hahn of Platteville, Colo., Donna (Terry) Oberley of Dodge City, Leon (Tina) Hahn of Garden City, and Nancy (Ed) Robinson of Valley Center; two brothers, Henry Bayer of Garden City, and Leo Bayer of Mesquite, Nev.; 65 grandchildren; 90 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

She also was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Kenneth Hahn and wife, Maggie; four brothers, Aloysius Bayer, Joseph Bayer, Lawrence Bayer and Albert Bayer; and six sisters, Clara Bayer, Regina Bayer, Sr. Carolyn Ann Bayer, Alice Tatro, Lucy Danler and Helen Gehlen.

A rosary will be held at 7:30 p.m. Friday at St. Mary Catholic Church in Garden City. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, also at St. Mary. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Garden City.

Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday at Garnand Funeral Home in Garden City.
