Lawrence Alvin Wallace, 84, died Saturday, Dec. 15, 2018, in Nashville, Tenn.

He was born June 14, 1934, in Plains to Lenord E. and Marie Laura Wallace.

On Feb. 14, 1953, he married Joyce Neuschwanger.

He had been a Hugoton resident since 1961.

Survivors include his brothers, Jerry Wallace of Garden City, and Jimmy Wallace of Granite City, Ill.; sisters, Lois Whaler of Garden City, and Iris Harnagel of Casper, Wyo.; sons, Rodney Wallace of Humboldt, Steve Wallace of Holland, Mich., and Roger Wallace of Madison, Tenn.; daughters, Trudy Craig of Andover, Wanda Thomas of Durant, Okla., and Melody Simon of Goodlettsville, Tenn; 15 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Gary Wallace; a brother, Ari Author Wallace; and sisters, Vera May Wallace, Eva Montgomery and Laura Wallace.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday at the Church of God, Hugoton. Burial will take place in the Hugoton Cemetery.

Visitation will be 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday at Robson Funeral Home, Hugoton. The family will be receiving friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday.
