Robert E. “Bobby” Brant, 76, died Thursday, Aug. 30, 2018, at St. Catherine Hospital in Garden City.  

He was born Dec. 2, 1941, in Wichita, to Theodore and Veda Talmadge Brant.

Mr. Brant worked for many years for the City of Augusta. A resident of Holcomb and Garden City since 1987, he was a member of the Garden City Tigers/Special Olympics. He enjoyed bowling, fishing, softball, camping, coloring, taking care of his dogs and watching western movies.

Survivors include a sister-in-law, Lora Brant of Holcomb; and several nieces and nephews, including Kimberly Schmidt of Augusta, T.J. Brant of Holcomb, Kandie Brungardt of Garden City, and Kenneth Brant Jr. of Augusta. He was preceded in death by his parents; his stepmother, Ruby Brant; two brothers, Vernon Brant and Kenneth Brant Sr.; and a sister, Betty.

A memorial service will begin at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Garnand Funeral Home in Garden City. A private family burial will take place at Valley View Cemetery, Garden City.
