ROLLA — Boyd Edwin Johnson, 86, of Rolla, died Wednesday, Feb. 21, 2018, at Stevens County Hospital in Hugoton. 

He was born March 24, 1931, near Wilburton, to Clinton Martin Johnson and Edith Pearl Stall Johnson.

A resident of Stevens County for most of his life, Mr. Johnson was a farmer and rancher.  

On Aug. 20, 1950, he married Elva Fay White in Elkhart. She survives. Other survivors include two sons, Darrel Edwin Johnson of Manhattan, and Wayne Allen Johnson of Rolla; a daughter, Darla Fay Smith of Dammeron Valley, Utah; 10 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Clifford; a sister, Alice; and infant siblings, James Johnson and Barbara Johnson.

Funeral will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday at Church of the Nazarene in Elkhart. Burial will follow at Elkhart Cemetery. 

Visitation hours are 2 to 8 p.m. Friday at Garnand Funeral Home in Elkhart.
