LAKIN — Patti Jane Duffield, 53, died Monday, Feb. 19, 2018, at Kearny County Hospital in Lakin.
She was born Nov. 13, 1964, at Ulysses to William T. and Patricia E. (Rich) Johnson.
She married Stanley Vanover in 1983 in Lakin.
She later married Kelly Duffield on May 29, 1993, in Garden City. He died on June 30, 2005.
She graduated from Lakin High School in 1983. She had several different jobs in her life, including as a hairdresser at Regis in Garden City and Dorothy’s Boutique in Lakin, waitress at the Blue Hereford in Ford, Dillons in Dodge City and operating a day care. She enjoyed reading, painting, knitting and especially being involved with her nephews, Hayden and Parker.
She is survived by her stepson, Lorren Duffield of California; father, Bill Johnson of Lakin; and sister, Wendy Pearson of Lakin.
Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at the United Methodist Church in Deerfield. Burial will be in Lakin Cemetery.
Visitation will be 3 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at Garnand Funeral Home in Lakin.
