Snow days handled as normal
Remote learning will have no effect on snow days within USD 457 for the 2020-21 school year.
Roy Cessna, USD 457 Public Information Officer, said snow days will be handled as normal despite the ability for remote learning, unless they run out of snow days.
"(Superintendent Dr. Steve Karlin) kind of has the option of using our snow days and then going to remote learning after have all of our snow days used up to keep us on track to wrap up the school year," he said. "If that doesn’t work, then we’ll have to extend out and make up those days."
Cessna said the district will let everyone know if that happens, but right now snow days will be handled as normal.
"If students need to make up assignments, need to work on assignments they can do that through their iPads and stuff, but it won’t be remote learning, it will be a snow day," he said.
