PRATT COUNTY–A one-vehicle accident in northeast Pratt County last week claimed the life of a Macksville man.
The accident occurred on June 2, 2020, when Jacob Davis, 35 of Macksville, was southbound in a 2006 Buick Rendezvous on NE 70th Avenue and just north of NE 90th Street. Davis went off the road on the west side, went through the ditch then came across the road in a sideways slide and went into the east ditch then hit the embankment and rolled over multiple times coming to rest right side up and facing northwest, said Kansas Highway Patrol Troop Micah Polson.
Davis was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Kansas Highway Patrol, Pratt County EMS, Pratt County Sheriff, Pratt County Rescue, Pratt County Fire responded to the accident that was reported at 3:52 p.m.
Davis was the owner of On Point Electric. He leaves behind a fiance, four sons, a daughter, as well as sisters, parents and aunts.
A funeral service was held Saturday, June 6 in Macksville.
