A Garden City man was injured Monday afternoon after his semi overturned on U.S. Highway 83 in Scott County.

Antonio Rodriguez-Ramirez, 57, of Garden City was traveling northbound on US-83 in a 1996 Mack semi at about 1:43 p.m. when he veered off the roadway to the right, re-entered the roadway, crossed the center line and left the roadway to the left, according to the Kansas Highway Patrol. Rodriguez-Ramirez then over-corrected, jerking right and causing the vehicle to overturn onto its driver's side and come to rest in the southbound shoulder. He was wearing a seat belt.

Rodriguez-Ramirez was taken to Wesley Medical Center in Wichita with a suspected serious injury, according to the KHP. On Thursday afternoon, he was in serious condition, according to Wesley Medical.
