The SouthWest Kansas Area Agency on Aging’s 33rd annual Senior Boomer Expo will be held April 24 at the Dodge City Civic Center.
Activities will begin at 9:30 a.m. Darlene Marshall, SWKAAA Board of Directors Chair, will provide opening remarks and read a proclamation signed by the board of directors declaring May as Older Americans Month and encouraging all seniors to celebrate positive aging. Jacque Kemmerer, DNP, MSN, FNP-C, will be the featured speaker at 10 a.m.
Over thirty-five social, service and business exhibits will be present to display their products and services of interest to seniors, individuals with disabilities and caregivers. Many great door prizes from area merchants will be given away.
A box lunch will be provided by the Dodge City Senior Center for a nominal charge.
The afternoon activities start at 12:30 p.m., with musical entertainment provided by the Buckner Creek Band from Spearville. Activities will conclude at 2:30 p.m., with Mega Bingo Blackout (a $300 cash jackpot) for age 60 and older and an ice cream social for all ages.
