US-50 highway will be closed for about 15 minutes at approximately 11 a.m. Monday as utility crews work on power lines a mile west of Charleston.

Afterward, traffic will re-open, but the westbound passing lane will remain closed during the day on Monday and Tuesday so that crews may complete their work.

KDOT urges drivers to buckle up, ditch the distractions, pay attention to all work zone warning signs and be prepared to stop.
