Finney County Emergency Management and Public Safety and Finney County CERT are hosting a pair of severe weather training sessions on Tuesday.
Representatives from the National Weather Service in Dodge City will conduct two storm identification/spotter training sessions, one at 3 p.m and another at 7 p.m., at the Finney County 4-H Building, 409 Lake Ave. in Garden City.
All training is free and open for anyone to attend and is not designed for just storm spotters. Anyone with a desire to learn how to identify severe weather and to learn about the dangers from these storms is encouraged to attend. The program lasts about 90 minutes.
