Kansas Department of Transportation crews will begin a mill and overlay project on Kansas Highway 27 in Morton County on Monday.

The project includes the stretch of highway from the south K-27/K-51 junction to the Morton/Stanton county Line.

Traffic will be reduced to one lane controlled by flaggers and a pilot car. KDOT urges drivers to be alert, pay attention to all work zone warning signs and be prepared to stop.

APAC Shears, of Hutchinson, is the contractor on this $2.4 million project, which is expected to be completed in June, weather permitting.
