A 34-year-old Ingalls man was killed Friday morning when he lost control of his vehicle on a county road in rural Gray County.

Nicholas Scott Davidson was northbound on County Road 2 in a 2004 Ford Ranger pickup at about 10:31 a.m., when he went off the right side of the road, overcorrected, lost control of his vehicle and went off the left side of the road into frozen water, according to the Kansas Highway Patrol.

Davidson was pronounced dead at the scene. He was not wearing a seat belt, according to the KHP.
