JF Stover, who used to maintain High Plains Public Radio's towers, will perform in one of the station's Living Room Concerts this Saturday, self-accompanying his performances on finger-style guitar, old-time banjo, fiddle, mandolin and autoharp thanks to a loop-pedal.
The concert will begin a 7 p.m. at HPPR Studios, 210 N. Seventh St. Coffee and refreshments will be served, and a $15 donation is suggested. Guests can RSVP online or by calling (806) 367-9088.
Stover's history with music can be traced through his family's affinity for swing tunes, piano and saxophone and a neighborhood ragtime pianist, his time learning how to play guitar in college in the '60s and street-singing and balalaika band-playing during his decade in Germany. His show revisits and reworks this history.
