DEERFIELD — Bob L. Landon, 87, died Thursday, Nov. 1, 2018, at St Catherine Hospital in Garden City.
He was born Oct. 27, 1931, in Garden City to Jay & Ruby (Miller) Landon.
He married Faith Landon on Dec. 24, 1949, in Deerfield. She died on Jan. 3, 2011.
He was a lifetime Deerfield resident and graduated from Deerfield High School and became a lifelong farmer. He enjoyed inventing things, fishing, hunting and his family activities.
He is survived by a daughter, Dixie Renstrom of Cimarron; a brother, Richard Landon of Deerfield; three sisters, Delores Paris of Dighton, Pat Gruver of Dodge City and Peggy Shipp of California; 10 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; two sons, Larry and Danny Landon; a daughter, Victoria Thomas; and a brother, Jay Dean Landon.
Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the United Methodist Church in Deerfield. Burial will be in Deerfield Cemetery.
Visititation will be 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at Garnand Funeral Home in Garden City.
