Area high school juniors and seniors will be able to learn about the degree programs and opportunities Garden City Community College offers at the college's Exploration Day on Nov. 15.

Following a 9 to 9:30 a.m. check-in, students will sit in on a welcome session, attend two sessions about areas of study they are interested in, eat a free lunch and end with a closing session. The day will be over by 2:30 p.m.

High school students can register by contacting their school counselor, going to, calling GCCC Admissions at (620) 276-9608, or printing the online form and faxing it to (620) 276-9650. Students will select their preferred breakout sessions, available for general education, fine arts and vocational/technical programs and several clubs and teams, when registering. Students are encouraged to register before Nov. 9.
