Russell Child Development Center recently received a $10,000 from AT&T Corporate for its Learn & Play Project, a free parent/child interaction group for children birth through age 6.

The program coaches parents through intentional play interation with their children to help the children be better prepared for kindergarten. The program operates in 28 sites across RCDC’s 19-county southwest Kansas service area.

The grant money will be used to supply each child enrolled in program an age-appropriate, construction-based toy to have in their home that will aid in building early spatial skills needed in the fields of science, math, technology and engineering.
