INMAN — Harvey Robert Toews, 89, passed away Aug. 8, 2018 at Pleasant View Home, Inman.

He was born on May 19, 1929 in McPherson the son of Henry F. and Minnie Ratzloff Toews. A life time member of the Inman Mennonite Church, he was a farmer/stockman and did conservation work.

On April 22, 1960 he married E. Jane Penner at Inman. He is survived by his wife, Jane of Inman, his children, Mark A. of Inman, Bruce A. of Neodesha, KS, and Rhonda (Dave) Moore of Inman, 2 grandchildren, Andrea Vandever-Moore, Nickolaus Vandever-Moore, and 2 sisters, Reta (Wilber) Wiens of Inman, Connie Weber of North Newton. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother-in-law, Dr. Roy Weber.

Friends may call from 3 to 7 p.m., with family present from 5 to 7 p.m., Friday, August 10, 2018 at Buhler Mortuary, Buhler.

Graveside service will be at 10 a.m., Saturday, at North Inman Cemetery, Inman with a Memorial service to follow at 11 a.m., Saturday, at Inman Mennonite Church, Inman with Pastor Mike Hiebert officiating. Memorials may be sent to either Inman Mennonite Church or Pleasant View Home in care of Buhler Mortuary, Buhler.
