A 23-year-old Holcomb woman was taken to a Kansas City, Mo., hospital early Friday morning after suffering possible injuries in a two-vehicle accident on Interstate 70 in Kansas City, Kan.
Erika Robinson was westbound on I-70 in a 2015 Ford SUV at about 4:47 a.m., when she attempted to pass a semi driven by Karim Ghazi, 42, Kansas City, Kan., on the left and lost control on the wet roadway and struck the rear driver-side corner of Ghazi’s vehicle, according to the Kansas Highway Patrol. Robinson’s vehicle then struck the barrier wall and came to rest.
Robinson, who was wearing her seat belt, was taken to Truman Medical Center with possible injuries. Ghazi, who also was wearing a seat belt, was not injured.
