Kelly administration’s broadband development director ousted after two years in role

Jade Piros de Carvalho, former chief of the Office of Broadband Development in the Kansas Department of Commerce, was informed last week that she would be removed as leader of the state’s high-speed internet program. Piros de Carvalho said she made an “unprofessional” comment to a person who subsequently complained, which resulted in the decision to end her employment at the commerce department.
