Jermey DuWayne Hoyt passed away on September 21, 2022, at Ascension Via Christi Hospital, in Wichita,KS. He was born on December 22, 1980, in Dodge City, KS to Michael & Barbara Hoyt.
Jermey graduated Garden City High School and continued his educaiton at Liberal Area Vocational Technical School. After graduation he went to work alongside his dad at H & H Repair.
Jermey loved speding time outdoors with his dogs, camping, hunging, and fishing. He especially enjoyed sharing his outdoor skills with his family and friends. his other passions included tinkering with old machinery and repurposing flea market and garage sale finds. He recently picked up rock collecting, sharing in the experience with his daughter Maggie and niece Natalia. Other interest included car shows and Harley Davidson motorcycles. He participated in Relay for Life, Friends of Lee Richardson Zoo helping with Boo at the ZOo and Zoobilee, and the NRA.
He is survived by his daughter Maggie Hoyt and stepson Trey King, both of Garden City, KS. A granddaughter Alaeyna Robinson of Garden City, KS. His parents Barbara and Michael Hoyt of Garden City, KS. A grandmother Mary Jo Monteer of Grove, OK. Three sisters, three brothers, several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews great-nieces, great-nephews, and many friends.
He is preceded in death by a grandaughter Avonlea Rae King. Grandparents Helen and Gerald Hoyt, and grandfathers John Edward and Duke Duquette.
Celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October, 8, 2022, 1pm at the Eagles Lodge.
