A Holcomb woman was killed Thursday morning in a car accident on Kansas Highway 25 near Lakin, according to the Kansas Highway Patrol.

Carey Christian-Noblitt, 41, was southbound on K-25 in a 2007 Toyota 1.5 miles south of Lakin at about 7 a.m, when she lost control of the vehicle and rolled the car, according to the KHP.

The accident forced the closure of K-25 from the Lakin city limits to the Arkansas River Bridge until about 12:20 p.m., when the highway was re-opened.

The KHP report said Christian-Noblitt was not wearing a seat belt. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
