Garden City fire fighters put out hot spots Saturday evening after an explosion leveled a house on the southwest corner of 10th and Fair Streets. Debris was scattered through the block with part of the roof landing in trees to the north across Fair Street at Gertrude Walker Elementary School with the school receiving minor damage and left the playground equipment area covered.
