This week, I am continuing to share information with you about a few more of the activities and partnerships we offer at the Senior Center of Finney County. We always welcome new visitors and would like to welcome back those of you who may not have been here recently.

Activities

I want to highlight two partnerships at the senior center. The first is our partnership with Future Business Leaders of America at Garden City High School. They are teaching our electronic use class that meets every Monday in March at 2:30 p.m. They will spend about 30 minutes teaching you new skills, and then spend about 30 minutes working with individuals on their electronic equipment. Please bring your tablet, IPAD, iPhone, Android phone or laptop and let the GCHS FBLA help you do more with your electronics.

We are also partnering with the K-State Research and Extension Office to bring you “Strength Training for Older Adults” beginning on March 26. This class will meet on Tuesday and Thursday from 10 to 11 a.m. The eight-week course is designed to help you increase your strength and balance. There is a $5 fee to enroll. Please call Patti at 272-3620 or Jennifer at Finney County Extension Office at 272-3670. Registration is required by March 22.
