Masonic Lodge makes donation

Tyrian Masonic Lodge has made a donation of $2,000 to the newly formed Garden City High School Trap Club.

Masonic lodges across Kansas support local youth and community projects and humanitarian efforts, including a statewide blood drive, child identification program, scholarships and a high school marching band clinic. Tyrian Lodge is planning several events this year to help benefit the community, including a free cancer screening at the end of October.

Freemasonry is a benevolent, educational and charitable organization, contributing $2 million a day in charity nationwide through its lodges and appendant bodies.

Tyrian Lodge meets on the second and fourth Wednesdays at 7:30 p.m. at the Elks Lodge, 905 E. Kansas Plaza.
