Emily Rishel and Nicholas Mitchell, both of Topeka, were married Sept. 22, 2012, at Creekside at Berryton in Berryton. The 5 p.m., double-ring ceremony was officiated by the Rev. A. David Stewart.

The bride's parents are Tom and Linda Rishel of Garden City. Her grandparents are Richard and Ann Lamb of Wichita.

The groom is the son of Roy and Carolyn Mitchell of Topeka. His grandparents are Glenn and Mildred Mitchell of Salina; and Lois Swanson of Olathe.

Matron of honor was Katie Dunn, the bride's sister from Liberty, Mo. Bridesmaids were Jessica Vanderweide and Krista Appelhanz, both of Topeka.

Best man was Cory Mitchell, the groom's brother from Topeka. Groomsmen were Kelly Mitchell and Randy Wainright, both of Topeka.

Flower girl was Gracie Dunn. Cade Dunn was the ringbearer. Both are from Liberty.

Serving as ushers were Jordan Horner of Olathe; Jarrod Lang of Topeka; and Chris McNown of Basehor.

Soloist was the bride's father, Tom Rishel. Music selections included "When I Say I Do" by Matthew West and "The Lord's Prayer."

The ceremony was followed by a reception at the Topeka Performing Arts Center.

The bride graduated from Kansas State University in 2007 with a bachelor's degree in social science, with minors in leadership studies and in business. She is director of communications and special events at the Kansas Chamber.

The groom graduated from Shawnee Heights High School. He is a machinist at Burlington Northern Santa Fe.

The newlyweds are at home in Topeka and are planning a honeymoon in Playa Del Carmen, Mexico in May.
