KANSAS CITY, MO Sarah Stucky, a former Garden City student, has been named a 2014 Daktronics-NAIA Women's Soccer Scholar-Athlete.

Stucky is a senior at Newman University, majoring in Human Services/Psychology, and joins 577 other athletes nationwide to earn a distinction.

On the field, Stucky played in 14 games (starting three) and scored a pair of goals for the Falcons on seven shots.

Student-athletes must maintain a 3.50 GPA and have achieved junior academic standing to be nominated by their institution's head coach or sports information director for the honor.
