Donna Mae (Behm) Owens, 73, longtime Garden City and Holcomb resident, passed from this life on April 10, 2022 in Henderson, Texas. She was born March 12, 1949 in Elkhart, Kansas to Ernest and Evelyn (Vail) Behm. Donna graduated from Rolla High School in 1967 and attended college in Dodge City, Kansas graduating as a Licensed Practical Nurse. Over the years she served patients at St. Catherine Hospital, Garden Valley Retirement Village, and Sunshine Health Care, all of Garden City, Kansas, until her health forced her to retire in 2008.

Donna was a resident of the Garden City/Holcomb, Kansas area from 1970 until 2018, when she moved to Henderson, Texas with her sister Doris. She married Richard Owens of Lakin on January 20, 2001. He passed away in 2013. Donna is survived by her sister, Doris (Mark) Davis of Henderson, Texas, nieces Louijana (Charley) Reed and Alvena (Ruben) Molina, both of Amarillo, Texas and a nephew, Chris Davis and family of Henderson, Texas. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard, her parents, her brother Charles, and a nephew Ryan Davis. Cremation has taken place and graveside services will be announced at a later date.
