Donald R. Lear, 92, died Sunday, December 18, 2022, at his home in rural Garden City. He was born on July 18, 1930, in Garden City, Kansas, the son of JT & Louie Alice (Trissell) Lear.

A Celebration of Donald’s life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 22, 2022, at Pierceville Federated Church in Pierceville, Kansas with Pastor Mike MacWhinnie and Pastor Terry Major officiating.

A private family interment will take place at Sunset Memorial Gardens prior to the service. Friends may call from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday at Garnand Funeral Home in Garden City and the family will be at the funeral home from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. to visit with friends. The family suggests memorials given to Pierceville Federated Church, Gideons International, or Great Plains Christian Radio all in care of the funeral home.
