Dora Alicia Martinez of Kennewick, Washington, age 64, passed away on August 22, 2022. She was born in Menard, Texas, on May 7, 1958, to her parents Vicente and Juanita Martinez.

Dora was a Kindergarten teacher at Eastgate Elementary School in Kennewick and was a member of the National Education Association of Washington. She lived in the Tri-Cities for 33 years. Dora’s passions were her grandkids and teaching. She loved watching old movies, reading, and shopping.

Dora is survived by her son Jerry Avila; daughter Elise (Justin) Wilde; grandchildren Landon and Quinn Wilde; brother Jacinto Martinez; sisters Rosa Gomez, Olivia Valdez Valino, Elva Guebara, and Evangelina Mata.

She was preceded in death by her parent Vicente and Juanita Martinez; brothers Laco Martinez, Joe Martinez and Jess Martinez. A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, September 2, 2022, from 5:00 7:00 pm at Hillcrest Funerals and Cremation, 9353 W. Clearwater Ave., Kennewick, Washington
