John Patrick Judge

John Patrick Judge born February 9, 1935 passed away on March 29, 2022 in Overland Park, KS at his home after a short illness. He lived in Garden City from 1970 to 2008. He was general manager of Oswalt Butler Corp until 1981. He was broker of C-21 from 1981 to 1986. He was broker and part owner of Coldwell Banker of Garden City from 1986 to 2008 when he retired. Surviving are 3 daughters, 4 step children, several grandchildren and great grandchildren. Visitation at 9am on April 9th with Funeral service to follow at 10am at McGilley State Line Chapel, KCMO. Followed by graveside service at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Memorial contributions to the American Diabetes Association can be sent on behalf of the John Judge Memorial to McGilley State Line Chapel 12301 State Line Road , KCMO 64145.

Gregory Allen Rains passed peacefully February 24th, 2022, surrounded by loved ones in Kansas City, Missouri. He is survived by his wife, Traci Rains, his mother Maxine Atkinson and stepfather Eugene Atkinson, his sister Karen Mesa, his children, Julia Schaffer, Allen Rains, & Jessica Beh-John and her husband Jack Beh-John, his grandson Caelen Schaffer, his step sons, Evan & Luke, and his spoiled dogs Trixie, Dudley, Munchie, and Elmer.

Sister Frances Biernacki

Sister Frances Biernacki, 94, died March 28, 2022, in the Dominican Sisters’ convent infirmary, Great Bend. She was born February 25, 1928, in Garden City, KS, the daughter of Francis and Rose Mary Wolf Biernacki. She entered the Dominican Sisters Community in 1943 and pronounced vows in 1946. Sister Frances celebrated seventy-five years of religious profession in 2021.

Sister Ancilla Schawe

Sister Ancilla Schawe, 100, died March 25, 2022, in the Dominican Sisters’ convent infirmary, Great Bend. She was born March 3, 1922, in Windthorst, KS, the daughter of Herman and Catherine Heeke Schawe. She entered the Dominican Sisters Community in 1943 and pronounced vows in 1945. Sister Ancilla celebrated seventy-five years of religious profession in 2020.
