Dighton- Janis Conine (Sculley) died on Thursday, March 9, 2023 at Lane County Hospital with family and friends by her side. She was born on June 7, 1947 at Grisell Memorial Hospital in Ransom, KS. She was the daughter of John and Esther Sculley (Knauf). She married Ed Conine on August 6, 1963 at Beeler, KS. Funeral Service will be at 10:30 AM Tuesday at United Methodist Church in Dighton with Rev A. G. Turner and Rev Julie King Dye officiating. Burial will be in Dighton Memorial Cemetery. Friends may call from Noon to 8:00 PM Monday at Boomhower Funeral Home in Dighton.

Garden City- Braxtyn Loyd, 27, died on Monday, March 6, 2023 at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita. He was born on June 3, 1995 at Garden City.

Deerfield - Ken Smith,77, died on Monday, March 6, 2023 at Kearny County Hospital in Lakin. Funeral Service were at 10:30 AM Friday at United Methodist Church in Deerfield with Pastor Greg Fletcher officiating. Burial was in Deerfield Cemetery. Friends called from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM Thursday at Garnand Funeral Home in Lakin. Memorials are suggested to Deerfield High School Athletic Department in care of the funeral home.

Alexis Briann Buxton, age 22, kissed this world goodbye and danced into heaven on March 4th, 2023, after experiencing a perforated ulcer. A Celebration Of Life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, March 10, 2023 at the First Baptist Church in Scott City, Kansas with pastor Don Williams presiding.
