LSU, Kelly agree to 10-year contract worth at least $95M
LSU formally announced the hiring of Notre Dame coach Brian Kelly on Tuesday and said they have agreed to a 10-year contract worth $95 million plus incentives. The hiring of Kelly – who has led Notre Dame for the past 12 seasons and eclipsed Knute Rockne for career victories with the storied Fighting Irish – came together on Monday night in yet another blockbuster coaching move in college football.
NASCAR looks to future growth
NASCAR will close its season this week with a three-day celebration in Nashville that ends with the crowning of three new national series champions in Kyle Larson, Daniel Hemric and Ben Rhodes. NASCAR will do burnouts on Lower Broadway near popular honkytonks Doc Holliday’s Saloon and Bootleggers Inn.

The Kansas Basketball Coaches Association released its annual preseason rankings for the boys and girls Monday. Many of the No. 1 teams are reigning state champions, but there are some changes and some surprises.
K-State’s running back Ervin, receiver Howell to transfer
MANHATTAN — Kansas State took a hit to its running back depth Sunday when second-leading rusher Joe Ervin announced via social media that he is entering the transfer portal. Later in the day, wide receiver Tyrone Howell revealed that he is transferring as well, making him the third Wildcat player to depart in the last week and the fourth this month.
