Even though the weather is still cold out, some animals at the zoo are celebrating big birthdays this month. The first birthday is on Wednesday Feb. 9, for our maned wolf female, Lelah. Lelah will be turning ten years old this year! Maned wolves’ home range is central South America, so if you are coming to wish Lelah a happy birthday, be sure to go around our South America side of the zoo. Lelah recently got a companion named Mateo.
Dear Amy: "Carol" and I used to work very closely together. I still see her occasionally at work, and we usually enjoy a long catch-up.
