The Garden City Community College Endowment Association has announced a new endowed scholarship has recently been established, the Robert Beymer EndowedScholarship. This scholarship is in conjunction with the President’s Scholarship Initiative, aimed at increasing the number of endowed scholarships available for GCCC students.
In partnership with Family Crisis Services, Garden City Community College will host a “What Were You Wearing?” exhibit showcasing eight outfits worn by survivors of sexual assault at the time of their attack.
Student artwork has been on display at the Garden City Public Schools USD 457 Educational Support Center, 1205 Fleming St., as part of the celebration of Youth Art Month during March. The artwork, from students across the district, can be viewed during regular business hours through the end of March.
Garden City Community College is committed to serving students and the community. With the mission of “producing positive contributors to society,” GCCC is taking a step toward helping to keep access and affordability at the forefront. Starting in fall semester of the 202324 school year, GCCC will provide scholarships to each outreach high school in the GCCC service area to help offset the cost of dual credit coursework.

Garden City Community College will host the second annual Junior Day from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 29 for high school juniors. Students will have the opportunity to tour the campus, learn how to pay for college, meet with different programs on campus.
The Garden City High School Junior-Senior prom will be held Saturday in the GCHS practice gymnasium, 2720 Buffalo Way Blvd., with the dance beginning at 9 p.m. The theme for this year’s gala event is “A Touch of Class”.
