Garden City High School will hold auditions for the annual GCHS Talent Show from 3:30-5:45 p.m. on Monday in the GCHS auditorium, 2720 Buffalo Way Blvd.

Garden City High School Drama students Katrina Almaguer, Gavin Norton, Cesar Guevara, and Esme Corado competed at the William Inge Center for the Arts high school acting contest. Corado, Almaguer and Guevara all earned scholarships.

The Garden City Kansas Kennel Club is hosting their All-Breed Dog Show this weekend. Hundreds of dogs and their owners will get the chance to strut their stuff in the show ring through the weekend at the Finney County Fairgrounds’ exhibition building and West Pavilion.

The registration deadline for the 2023 session of the American Legion Boys State of Kansas is set for April 30. The session will be held June 4 - 10 at Kansas State University in Manhattan.

Garden City Community College has announced that four employees have won the 20222023 League Excellence Awards: Veronica Goosey, Alli Griffin, Shelli Lalicker, and Sydnee Sassaman. The League Excellence Awards, through the League for Innovation in the Community College, recognize outstanding faculty, staff, and leaders in the community college field who have made a significant difference in the lives of students and in the communities their colleges serve.

Garden City High School has two seniors that have been named 2023 Kansas Career and Technical Education (CTE) scholars, the Kansas State Department of Education announced on April111. This year’s CTE Scholars are: Anna Lobmeyer and Kathy Vo.

American Implement and Western State Bank have announced the recipients of their 2023 Ag Future scholarship program. The scholarship program provides a total of 10, $1,000 scholarships to high school seniors and current college students who intend to pursue an Ag-related program or degree at a university, community college or technical school.
