Finney County has added seven new positive confirmed COVID-19 cases with an overall total of 13,540 as of May 1, with a decrease to 27 active positive cases being monitored. Of the Finney County cases, therearenoindividualshospitalized as of May 1 while there has been a total of 125 deaths.

The Garden City Community College Endowment Association has announced six area students have been selected for the 202324 Otis and Mary Lee Molz Cooperative Scholarship. The Molz scholarship recipients will receive full tuition and fees for up to 16 credit hours per semester at GCCC.
