At Ulysses, the Tigers scored early and often, converting 10 touchdowns as a team for a crushing win over Larned 73-0 on Friday to begin district play for both squads.

Several players scored for Ulysses including Luke Haney, Ian Rudzik, Zac Romero, and Charles Garnette, who each scored a rushing touchdown. Tate Annis caught three touchdowns.

Alec Meierhoff and Tregg Rodriguez shared quarterback duties with each passing two touchdowns. Meierhoff and Avery Nichols each scored a touchdown on an interception.

Ulysses is now 4-3 overall but 1-0 in district play as they prepare for a trip to Pratt next Friday in a district matchup.

At Scott City, the Beavers continued their winning ways on Friday as they shut out the Hoisington Cardinals 36-0 to begin district play.

Brett O'Neil passed for two touchdowns while Brenner Wells rushed for three more. O'Neil also had a field goal in the game.

Scott City remains undefeated at 7-0 on the season as they host Thomas More Prep-Marian next week.

At Hugoton, the Eagles came alive in the fourth quarter as they scored 12 unanswered points to get a big district win over Pratt 21-20 on Friday.

Yates Sutton and Ross Davis had the two touchdown runs for Hugoton in the fourth quarter. Reid Davis had the other touchdown in the first quarter for Hugoton.

Pratt's Anthony Cannata and Skylar Dean each scored a rushing touchdown in the first quarter. Dean passed for another touchdown in the second quarter before the Greenbacks went flat in getting shut out in the second half.

Despite being 3-4 overall, Hugoton has a 1-0 record in district play.
