Saving lives just got a little easier in Garden City, as the Safe Haven Baby Box’s newest baby box will be blessed at 5 p.m. on July 30 during a ceremony at the Garden City Fire Department/EMS Station 3, 3535 Schulman Ave.
Garden City Community College and Germann Homes Inc. have come together to benefit the college’s Construction Trades Program, with an agreement that gives second year students the chance to get on-the-job, hands-on experience.
