MANHATTAN – A total of 40 students were awarded with the National FFA Foundation scholarships during the 96th Kansas FFA Convention, May 29 - 31.Participating in the Kansas FFA scholarship program is an excellent opportunity for FFA members to receive financial support for their education while being recognized for their achievements and commitment to agriculture.

The Garden City Wind’s winning ways are continuing.After picking up a pair of wins in their first road contests at Santa Fe, N.M., last weekend, the Wind faced the Feugo again Wednesday and Thursday, this time at Clint Lightner Field.The Garden City bats stayed hot against Santa Fe, picking up a pair of routs, 21-4 and 14-5, to move their season record to 8-0.On Wednesday, it was the bat of Dominic Enbody and the pitching of Jake Norris to highlight the victory.Enbody went 4-for-4 on the night, including three home runs and a double plus seven RBIs.
