BELOIT - The Holcomb High School boys’ wrestling team competed at the Beloit Invitational on Friday and Saturday, facing tough competition. The Longhorns finished 14th as a team in the 24-team field. Hoxie on the double-elimination tournament.

Dear Eric: The most important family member to me is my brother, the only person who’s been there since my birth and never let me down. We’re both retired, and he’s very, very sick, partly from past addictions. His insurance company kicked him off getting any more of his last chance medication that could give him another one to five years of life, partly because of his own bad choices.

USD 457 to celebrate health awareness week

Garden City Mayor Roy Cessna, read a proclamation at Alta Brown Elementary School, 1110 E. Pine St., at 8:30 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 27, declaring the week of Jan. 27-31, as Health Awareness Week in Garden City. The proclamation will urge all residents of Garden City to take advantage of the many wellness opportunities available during the week.
