Sub-state basketball underway for high schools
The high school basketball season is drawing to a close with this being sub-state week. Smaller classifications began their tournaments last week continuing into this week.

GCCC baseball goes 1-3 against Amarillo
The Garden City Community College baseball team hosted Amarillo College Friday and Saturday at Williams Stadium. The Broncbusters salvaged the final game of the four-game series on Saturday.

GCCC women roll to home win over Pratt
Bruna Costa Da Silva tied a season-high with 23 points, Jolie Mantz returned from a one-game suspension to score 17, and the Garden City Community College women left no doubt with a 79-50 victory over Pratt Saturday afternoon at Conestoga Arena.
GCCC softball splits with Dodge City
DODGE CITY - Yina Ballesta Vargas struck out seven, Mara Vonk and Maysen Kurene-Iwikau each went yard, and Garden City improved to 9-4 with a 4-1 victory over Dodge City in their conference opener Friday afternoon at Legends Park in Dodge City.

County Commission approves agreement with KDOT
The Finney County Commission approved a contract agreement with the Kansas Department of Transportation for the reconstruction of US Highway 83 South, heading out of Garden City at its regular meeting on Feb. 18.
GCCC to hold open auditions
Garden City Community College is holding open auditions for a production featuring a night of musical numbers from the celebrated Broadway composer Stephen Sondheim, the “Sondheim Tribute Revue, from 6-10 p.m. on Friday, March 7, in the Pauline Joyce Fine Arts building’s KCB Bank auditorium.
