With fall sports in full swing, the Garden City Telegram is beginning a new Athlete of the Week program, starting on Monday.

An online voting contest will collect nominations of student athletes who has had outstanding accomplishments in their sport.

Visit the Telegram’s website, http://www.gctelegram.com , and click on the Athlete of the Week button to vote. There will be male and female student athletes listed in separate voting. Please vote one time a day, every day during the contest for your favorite athlete.

Winners will be determined by weekly voting results and the polls will be open each week. We are excited to have you, our loyal readers, partner with us to spotlight deserving high school athletes. Thanks, as always, for your support.
