At a Wednesday press conference, Dodge City Law head football coach Sean Ponder announced the first group of players to be signed for the upcoming Central Plains Indoor Football League 2015 season.

The professional indoor football team plays at United Wireless Arena and debuted in 2014, winning Franchise of the Year in the league.

Returning to the roster from last season’s team are Marquis George, 6-3, 275-pound, defensive lineman; Joshua Floyd, 5-10, 190-pound quarterback; Dominique Carson, 5-5, 170-pound running back; Cordney Sanders, 6-2, 200-pound defensive back; Jamar Seard, 6-3, 310-pound offensive/defensive lineman; Brandon Venson, 6-3, 235-pound wide receiver.

Two newcomers also were introduced — Eric Friess, 5-11, 187-pound linebacker/defensive back; and Zack Fields, 6-0, 240-pound defensive lineman/linebacker.

Floyd was voted second team All-CPIFL quarterback last season while Carson was voted the CPIFL Offensive Rookie of the Year.

The 2015 regular season kicks off on March 7 at United Wireless Arena where the Law will play host to the Amarillo, Texas, Venom. Season tickets are available by calling the Dodge City Law football office at 620-371-7240. Individual game tickets will go on sale through the arena box office on January 20.
