Two area track and field and cross country coaches were honored by the Kansas Cross Country and Track and Field Coaches Association.
Mike Horton, the cross country coach at Stanton County High School in Johnson city, was named the 2012 Class 2A boys coach of the year, while Denis Hornung, the track and field coach at Cimarron High School, was recognized as the Class 3A girls coach of the year.
