Garden City fire fighters put out hot spots as others move through debris scattered on the ground Saturday evening after an explosion leveled a house at 802 W. Fair St., on the southwest corner of Fair and 10th Streets.The blast did minor damage to Gertrude Walker Elementary School across Fair Street to the north and caused structural damage to a residence to the south.
