Children and adults make their way, snaking through the Finney County Public Library, Saturday collecting candy from 21 stations during a Halloween Extravaganza. The Trunk or Treat event, hosted by the library and the Kansas Children’s Service League, was moved inside due to the cold temperatures and chance for inclimate weather. Approximately 1,500 individuals participated in the event. The winter weather proved to be a deciding factor for many outdoor events, on whether to hold it inside or cancel for the day. One of those, the Kansas Kruisers Trunk of Treat on Main Street in downtown Garden City was canceled due to the weather. BRAD NADING/GARDEN CITY TELEGRAM
