HUGOTON — Glenna Mae Beckett, 97, died Monday, Dec. 15, 2014, at Pioneer Manor in Hugoton, where she had resided for 2 1/2 years due to a back injury and failing health.
She was born March 29, 1917, in Sawyer, to John W. and Pearl Crouse Cromer. She graduated from high school in Greensburg.
On Sept. 20, 1935, she married Roy J. Beckett in Greensburg. He preceded her in death as did her parents; three sons, Roy D. “Dink” Beckett, James “Jim” Beckett and Phillip Beckett; a daughter, Linda Steele; a grandson; two brothers, Frank and Bob; and a sister, Jeannie.
Survivors include a daughter, Carole Monks of Limon, Colo.; two sons, Larry Beckett of Wiley, Colo., and Mike Beckett of Balko, Okla.; 21 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.
Graveside service will begin at 2 p.m. Friday at Hugoton Cemetery.
