CIMARRON — Lucy Ann Wiens Summers, 79, died Thursday, Dec. 4, 2014, at Western Plains Medical Complex, Dodge City.

She was born September 23, 1935 at Nashville, Kansas, the daughter of Henry and Edna (Kalthoff) Westerman. A longtime Cimarron resident, she worked at Cimarron Insurance and Nicolets Clothing Store and was co-owner and secretary of Wiens Oil Company all in Cimarron.

She was a very active member and Bereavement Coordinator of Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Dodge City, Home Culture Club, Bridge Club, a volunteer with First Tee and a regular at Clarks Pharmacy for coffee, all in Cimarron.

On November 27, 1955, she married Kenneth G. Wiens at Nashville, Kansas. He preceded her in death on May 9, 2003. On July 3, 2010, she married Howard “Dude” Summers at Dodge City. He survives.

Other survivors include: 3 sons, Steven Wiens and wife Barbara, Haysville, Kansas, Greg Wiens and wife Beth, McPherson, Kansas, and Roger Wiens and wife Shari, Johnson, Kansas; her daughter, Linda Ricker and husband John, Sterling, Kansas; a stepson, Jim Summers and wife Anna, Nashua, New Hampshire; a stepdaughter, Dixie Bingham and husband Dustin, St. James, New York; 2 brothers, Cecil Westerman and wife Liz, Zenda, Kansas, and Ralph Westerman, Pratt, Kansas; 2 sisters, Vera Vogts, Madison, Kansas, and Sharon Prater and husband Dave, Spring Hill, Kansas; 9 grandchildren, Carly Wiens, Daniel Wiens, Kylin Wiens, Megan Wiens, Tyson Wiens, Keltin Wiens, Jason Ricker and wife Annie and their daughter, Eva, Eric Ricker and fiancé, Alysia Zook and Jessica Ricker; and 5 step-grandchildren, Cassandra Summers, Rhett Summers, Lauren Summers, Hannah Bingham and Raygan Bingham.

She was also preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Harold Westerman.

Funeral Service will be 2:00 pm Monday, December 8, 2014, at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Dodge City, with Rev. Randall Jahnke officiating. Friends may call from noon to 6:00 pm Sunday at Ziegler Funeral Chapel, Cimarron. Burial will be in Cimarron Cemetery, Cimarron.
